Paul Falohun is a Senior Security Analyst in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Province of BC. He is responsible for driving information security strategy and operations, ensuring the security posture of public sector organizations in the Province is improved, from a governance perspective and that public sector organizations maximize the value of security programs developed by the OCIO. Since joining the OCIO in 2017, Paul has been instrumental in achieving the vision of the Defensible Security “DefSec” program, which is primarily to assess public sector organizations against the DefSec framework and provide support for areas of opportunity -thus far a highly successful and transformative initiative, accomplishing phase 1 in nine months. Paul has presented on the DefSec Initiative at various prestigious events such as Privacy and Security Conference. Prior to joining the OCIO, Paul worked as a Consultant for two of the “Big Four” professional services firms.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Network Systems Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, he is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
