Jay Dixon’s secondment by the Ministry of Education has been created to support content management, guidance on instructional design, and to liaise between school districts and the Ministry regarding ShareEdBC.
He has more than 15 years of experience in the K-12 education system in Canada and abroad as a teacher, Vice Principal, and Principal. He was a 2018 finalist for the BC Premier’s Award of Excellence in Education. Jay has experience in Distributed Learning, has been involved in many district trades technical initiatives, community partnerships, and has developed several programs within in School District 85.
He holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria, a Masters of Educational Technology from the University of British Columbia, a certificate in Special Education from Queens University, and a variety of Leadership and Management credentials.
