I am a passionate and dedicated professional educator with over 20 years of successful experience. My greatest strengths include: collaborative leadership, strategic planning, empowering educators to develop their leadership and instructional skills, and commitment to improving teaching and learning with a vision for what it means to be an educator in the 21st Century. I believe in the importance of fostering strong working relationships and through my current position of District Learning Support Coordinator, I mentor teachers and administrators throughout the district in the principles and practices of inclusion through Universal Design For Learning.
Taking an active role on our district’s Technology and Curriculum Committees, I work closely with faculty to realign the district’s vision with the new British Columbia curriculum and support teachers to modify their instruction to best prepare students to become lifelong learners. Additionally, as District Partner for SETBC, I spearhead classroom pilot projects for technology integration and teaching innovation.
