Brian Horncastle has worked in the field of information technology for the past twenty years. Of this time he has experience specializing in information security. He has worked in private and public sector organizations. Early in Brian’s career he was self-employed and worked in various domains of IT. He then worked in telecommunications, post secondary, and since 2012 has been with the Province of British Columbia. Brian has experience in operations and hardening systems as a systems administrator and team lead, and on the business side as management. Brian is currently the Manager of Vulnerability and Risk Management with the Information Security Branch for the Province of British Columbia. Brian has significant skills related to security, risk management, and disaster recovery. He brings a balanced, logical, and pragmatic approach to conversations about the protection of IT assets and systems.
